Using IMEI.blog

Terms and Conditions

These terms define the permitted use and important limits of our local tools and educational material.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to IMEI.blog, including its public tools, guides, checklists, examples, and supporting pages. By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The Privacy Policy and Disclaimer form part of the conditions that explain how the service operates and how its results should be understood.

Who may use the service

You may use IMEI.blog only if you can lawfully agree to these Terms and your use is permitted where you live. If you use the site for an employer, repair business, marketplace, school, or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that organisation. A parent or legal guardian should supervise use by anyone who cannot enter a binding agreement.

You are responsible for the device, browser, connection, and information used to access the site. The website does not create a carrier, repair, legal-adviser, or fiduciary relationship.

What IMEI.blog provides

IMEI.blog offers educational material and local browser utilities. These utilities can check length and numeric format, apply the Luhn checksum, calculate a check digit, separate structural fields, extract a TAC, parse an IMEISV, compare identifiers, detect duplicate entries, clean formatting, and create masked output. Suitable calculations happen in the browser and do not require an account or paid lookup.

The site does not provide a universal device-history report. Local results cannot establish ownership, authenticity, warranty, blacklist status, financing, carrier lock, account lock, repair eligibility, or lawful possession. Those facts depend on records controlled by manufacturers, carriers, platforms, sellers, authorities, or other authorised organisations.

Your authority and responsibility for inputs

You must have a legitimate and lawful reason to process every identifier or record you enter. Do not submit confidential data belonging to another person without appropriate authority. Avoid entering names, passwords, authentication codes, payment details, precise locations, or account credentials into an IMEI tool. Where a complete identifier is unnecessary, use masked information.

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your input and interpreting the output in context. A typographical error can produce a different result. A passing mathematical check does not prove that the identifier belongs to the physical device being examined. Before making a purchase, sale, repair, insurance, security, or compliance decision, confirm the relevant facts through an appropriate official source.

Acceptable use

You may use the website for personal education, legitimate device administration, authorised repair or inventory work, research, and reasonable commercial evaluation. You may quote a limited portion of a guide with clear attribution and a link when allowed by applicable law.

You must not use IMEI.blog to:

  • stalk, track, intimidate, harass, or profile another person;
  • facilitate theft, fraud, deceptive sales, identifier cloning, or device tampering;
  • attempt to access carrier, subscriber, platform, or manufacturer records without permission;
  • upload malicious code, probe for vulnerabilities without written authorisation, or interfere with availability;
  • bypass technical limits, security controls, provider consent, or access restrictions;
  • copy substantial content, operate an automated scraper that creates unreasonable load, or misrepresent site material as your own;
  • use a result to falsely claim that a device is genuine, clean, unlocked, paid, or lawfully owned; or
  • violate a law, contract, court order, marketplace rule, or another person's rights.

We may restrict access or take reasonable protective measures when activity threatens users, the website, providers, or third parties.

Network verification and provider services

SIM Swap, Device Swap, reachability, roaming, number verification, and location verification are operator capabilities rather than calculations derived from an IMEI. A normal mobile-data connection does not grant a website access to private network records. A genuine feature requires a supported mobile operator or approved provider, protected server credentials, the correct API scope, a valid purpose, and authorisation or consent where required.

IMEI.blog does not currently maintain an active provider connection for those checks and will not generate a simulated network result. If such a feature is introduced, additional provider terms, coverage limits, consent steps, and privacy information may apply. You must never attempt to bypass those controls or submit another person's subscriber information without lawful authority.

Intellectual property and limited licence

The website's original design, code, arrangement, explanations, graphics, and editorial material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the public service for its intended purpose. No ownership right is transferred to you.

Manufacturer names, carrier names, platform names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Reference to an organisation is descriptive and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation. You may not use IMEI.blog branding in a way that suggests an official relationship.

External websites and official sources

Links to manufacturers, carriers, regulators, standards bodies, marketplaces, or other services are supplied for context. External services control their own content, availability, data practices, eligibility decisions, and terms. IMEI.blog is not responsible for an external service or for information you provide to it. Review that service's current policies before submitting an IMEI, account information, or proof of purchase.

Availability, corrections, and changes

We work to keep tools available and explanations accurate, but do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent access to a feature, or compatibility with every browser and identifier format. Maintenance, security issues, provider changes, legal requirements, or technical failures may require us to modify, suspend, or remove content. We may correct an error without preserving an earlier version.

We may update these Terms when the website or applicable requirements materially change. The updated date will reflect a genuine revision. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply from their stated date; where law requires separate notice or consent, we will follow that requirement.

Warranty and liability boundaries

The service is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that a tool result is an official record, that all content applies to your jurisdiction, or that every error will be detected. The detailed limits in the Disclaimer apply to all results.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, IMEI.blog is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising from reliance on incomplete evidence, an external service, unlawful use, interrupted access, or a transaction involving a device. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right, remedy, warranty, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply.

If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply, and the affected provision should be interpreted as closely as lawfully possible to its purpose. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer are the complete public terms for ordinary use of the site unless a separate written agreement applies.

Applicable law and the competent forum depend on the circumstances, including the user's location and any mandatory consumer rules. These Terms do not require you to surrender protections that applicable law does not permit you to waive.

Questions about these Terms may be sent to legal@imei.blog. Please include the relevant page URL and a clear description, but do not email a complete IMEI, password, authentication code, payment information, or another person's confidential data.
